VR Motorsport is putting their bare carbon Gen 5 Praga R1T up for sale. This was one of the group of factory cars brought into the UK to compete in the 2022 Praga Cup UK, being raced by Ben Collins (ex- Top Gear Stig) and Jay Morton.
This car was originally run by Idola Motorsport on behalf of the Praga Factory before being purchased by VR Motorsport at the end of 2022. Since then it has raced in the UK Zeo prototype cup and Dutch GT & Prototype Cup with a number of high profile guest drivers (Rodolfo Gonzalez (ex F1 test driver and Le Mans 24hr), Gordie Mutch (British GT).
VR Motorsport shares the technicians and management team of Praga Racing UK and hence has been meticulously maintained by the UK’s leading Praga team with no expense spared. With the recent switch to the Zeo Prototype Cup, this has allowed VR Motorsport to explore enhancing performance and this car is now performs very much over and above a standard Praga with regards to power and reliability. This was proven at the Snetterton round of Zeo Prototypes in 2023 when Gordie Mutch broke the outright circuit record in this car.
Comes with FIA homologation passport and features a Motorsport UK homologated roll hoop to ensure eligibility for UK Championship series (can be removed if not required for a weight saving).
Car will come with spare rims and front/rear jacks plus setup sheets for all circuits we have raced at. Aim data also available
The Praga R1T has FIA homologation, with a full carbon fibre monocoque tested to LMP safety standards. Full body and underfloor aero package offering incredible downforce.
