Praga R1T - 2016
£90,000 + VAT
VR Motorsport is putting their original Gen 4 Praga R1T up for sale. This was the first of many Pragas brought into the UK and this car is the most successful example of the marque to race in the UK and Europe.
Campaigned by VR Motorsport across multiple championships, it has had a huge amount of success including:
2nd in class in 2017 Dutch GT & Prototype Cup
1st in class in 2018 Dutch GT & Prototype Cup
1st in class and 4th overall in 2019 Britcar Championship
2nd in class and 3rd overall in 2020 Britcar Championship
4th in 2021 Britcar Praga Class
2nd in 2022 Praga Cup UK
3rd in 2023 Zeo Prototype Cup
VR Motorsport shares the technicians and management team of Praga Racing UK and hence has been meticulously maintained by the UK’s leading Praga team with no expense spared. In 2022 it was upgraded to bring it inline with the emerging Generation 5 specification with Praga Factory supplied parts to enhance the aero and power unit to ensure it was equal with the newer cars. This car is 25kg lighter than the generation 5 but with a matching power unit so has a slight advantage over the newer cars.
With the recent switch to the Zeo Prototype Cup, this has allowed VR Motorsport to explore enhancing performance and this car is now performs very much over and above a standard Praga with regards to power and reliability. All updates are reversible if required and full details will be supplied to potential buyers. Additionally VR Motorsport has a roadmap to further enhancements which can be discussed as appropriate.
Comes with FIA homologation passport and features a Motorsport UK homologated roll hoop to ensure eligibility for UK Championship series (can be removed if not required for a further weight saving).
Car will come with spare rims and front/rear jacks plus setup sheets for all circuits we have raced at. Aim data also available.
The Praga R1T has FIA homologation, with a full carbon fiber monocoque tested to LMP safety standards. Full body and underfloor aero package offering incredible downforce. Cosworth ECU with closed loop lambda, fly-by-wire throttle and mapped wastegate for full boost control per gear. Hewland JFR gearbox with interchangeable ratios and pneumatic paddle shift.
